Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji held on $1m bond in death of Paul Kessler, 69, who died last week from a head injury

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a Jewish protester following an altercation at a protest over the Israel-Hamas war in southern California.

Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji was arrested on Thursday, the Ventura county sheriff’s office announced, and will be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Media reports identified Alnaji as a college professor.
